Wheelchair flight information
Wheelchair user flights are made on mornings only and flight duration is approximately 45 minutes. A safe landing in light winds is the most important consideration. An assisting passenger must accompany the wheelchair passenger on the flight and you must provide a vehicle capable of transporting your passengers after the flight. Your vehicle must follow our balloon recovery vehicle and be present at the landing. The maximum combined weight of the wheelchair user, the assisting passenger and the wheelchair is 200kg. For the 2018 season these flights will be made from our West Sussex launch site at Petworth. The site has good vehicular access to within a few metres of the balloon take off position, with the last few metres on firm grass.
