Ashdown Park Hotel
Ashdown Park Hotel provides a great backdrop for a hot air balloon flight over Sussex. The neo-Gothic Victorian manor house which forms the heart of the hotel was built by Thomas Thompson who was a member of parliament. The manor house included a church and a school for local children.
After a later owner of the house was killed during the First World War, the house saw use as a convent, an American University off shoot and later as the corporate headquarters for an international bank before becoming the hotel you can view as you take off on your Sussex balloon flight from the balloon basket today.
