Lasham Gliding Fly Past by Hot Air Balloon

As Lasham airfield is about an hours hot air balloon ride from several of our hot air balloon take off sites such as West Meon and Micheldever, we often land here, but seldom fly over it. So an exclusive balloon flight for two in our small happy birthday balloon late in the 2010 season where we flew right over the centre of the airfield was unusual.

Pilot Kim Hull was quick to get out his Canon 400D Camera and take a snap of the activity at the airfield. Lasham airfield is the home of Lasham Gliding, the largest gliding club in Europe (or so they say!) where you can have a gliding experience and gliding lessons. For more information, try www.lasham.org.uk . You can also see some of the many jet aircraft that come in for servicing from time to time, sharing the airfield with the gliders and the occasional hot air balloon landing.
