Don Binks, who is a ground radio operator at Popham Airfield jumped at the chance to fly with Adventure Balloons when they took off from Popham on a lovely autumn afternoon on 4th October .

As he climbed to 1000 feet over the airfield to clear incoming aircraft he looked over the side of the wicker basket and said, I've never know anything like this in all my 50 years of flying. It certainly is a different experience from flying with metal all around you!
