Hot Air Balloon Flights Lake District |
|
|
Float over the beautiful Lakeland countryside on a hot air balloon ride as the autumn colours abound to view the landscape that inspired the "Lake Poets" such as Wordsworth and Coleridge Taylor at the turn of the 19th Century. From your wicker basket view the high summits of Skiddaw, Helvellyn or Scafell and the forest trails and lakeside paths. This rugged and beautiful landscape is one of England finest. For dates for our Lake District Adventure click here Buy Lake District Adventure Vouchers click here We are taking one of our hot air balloons to the Lake District for selected flight dates in September and October. We will be using launch sites around the North Lakes close to Bassenthwaite, Ullswater, Thirlmere and Derwent Water and the Cumbrian market towns of Keswick and Penrith in the Lake District National Park. Both these towns are easily accessed by the M6 and the A66 and our pilots will choose which site we will fly from on each occasion depending on the forecast wind direction for your flight. Weather conditions for flights in the Lake District have to be suitable to ensure the balloon can land close to safe access for recovery by the balloon crew, creating challenging conditions for our pilots and the need for several launch sites to maximise the chances of flying. Our Lake District balloon flights will start at an easy to find meeting point and you will then be led to the launch site so please be punctual (or a little early!) for the meeting time. |
